I need it. See I take a photo of my BentangBento right before I put it in the bag and most of the time I’m in a rush which make me neglect a few things. I didn’t want to post this anymore but I need a reminder to be more vigilant with cleanliness l. I used the fork to twirl the pasta around and since I’m taking that with me I just included it in the photo. Argh!!!
The treat is a special chocolate covered cracker which tasted absolutely divine. Would have to hunt for this in Korean groceries. <333
I’m sorry that I’ve let the bad weather affect my postings. I’ve also only got internet back since the Habagat devastation.
I did have a few bento I just didn’t get to post but to start this off today, I give you banana bread buffet.
This is a fun way to introduce a new food to the kids. They loved picking up their shape of choice and nommed each piece, in fact they wanted more so I gave them the edges to nibble on.
We were affected by the water crisis in the Malabon-Navotas area for almost two days now. So when the water was only merely dripping by afternoon, I decided to bring my brood of boys home to Cavite to visit family and sort of recharge.
See you all on Monday! Happy weekend!
Before there was Goldilocks or RedRibbon (chain cake suppliers) our local panaderias already have their own version of the cake roll.
The bread part of the pianono is a chiffon-like cake with a very mild vanilla flavor. The filling is light lemon butter creme. Happiness at only P15.
Watch out for more local bakery finds in my future posts. I realize I have to take photos of how they look prior putting them in the bento.
I don’t know why Kulay didn’t finish this in school because when he got home he ate whatever was left.
Honestly, I have to admit that without my cute cutters my sandwiches are boring. I have to level up on this.
The daddy is setting up a covered bbq grill which would hopefully work as a charcoal oven. This would mean getting back to artisan bread baking. Woot! Also, I can see my very own rustic banana bread in the not so distant future.
What amazing thing do you put in your sandwich?
I’m sick today – been huffing coughing all night and a little bit feverish today. So prepped a simple snack for Kulay. It’s still fun though, those crackers were a bit of surprise. A token from Ninong Norman’s trip to Korea. They taste as cute as they look, a bit milky.
A simple bentangbento for today. I didn’t want to let pass another bentoing day. Plus I kinda miss putting a bento together.
I love the cored apple slices!
